Sands of time

Do you need time?

“Footprints on the sands of time” is a phrase from the poem “A Psalm of Life” by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. It describes the mark that great people leave on history, and the idea that even though we are mortal, we can leave a lasting impression on future generations.

Well I do not claim myself to be a great person but at same time I do draw an inspiration from this quote to do my best in whatever I do. My passions take up all my energy and time. And so even in my present phase of life as a veteran, if you ask me about it, then “Yes, I do need a lot of time”.

To explain myself better, I shall relate this with one of my major endeavours these days which is to curate memorable events for the members of my wine club.

Organising a wine event requires planning the theme, selecting the wines, catering for food, selecting the venue and most importantly gathering passionate wine people as guests which at times is the toughest part. And all these activities need time.

Organising a wine event needs time and energy

So if you ask me “Do you need time”, then my answer shall be: “Yes, I need a lot of time”

If that catches your fancy then read more about in my blog post as shared below:

My wine journey started in 2013 and I soon earned my WSET certifications in quick succession. At same time I started with writing on wines on my blog page and also got opportunities to write for renowned wine magazines in India. I’ve also written a couple of research papers on Indian wine industry. Presently I’m also tenanting the position of the President Delhi Wine Club. I’m on panel of Judges in International Wine Challenge (London) and Michelangelo Wine and Spirits Awards (South Africa). I believe in the tagline : Wine Connects.
