International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) elects a Brazilian as it’s president

Regina Vanderlinde, a Brazilian professor of biotechnology, has been elected as the president of the International Organisation of Vine and Wine (OIV) for the next three years.
Holding a doctorate in biological sciences with a focus in enology from the ‘Université de Bordeaux’ Regina has been a member of the Brazilian delegation to the OIV and is the third consecutive female President of the OIV.
Election of a Brazilian as the head of OIV fares well for South American wine region and should bring a positive focus on wine growing countries from the continent.
Wineglitz follows the viniviticulture in upcoming wine regions in South America like Brazil and Uruguay etc and will keep posting updates.

My wine journey started in 2013 and I soon earned my WSET certifications in quick succession. At same time I started with writing on wines on my blog page and also got opportunities to write for renowned wine magazines in India. I’ve also written a couple of research papers on Indian wine industry. Presently I’m also tenanting the position of the President Delhi Wine Club. I’m on panel of Judges in International Wine Challenge (London) and Michelangelo Wine and Spirits Awards (South Africa). I believe in the tagline : Wine Connects.
